Alleyway Intrigue

I needed a change of scenery this afternoon without going too far. I’ve been stuck inside with a nasty head cold for several days. Feeling marginally better today, I knew I needed to get outside and breathe some fresh air. Even though I wasn’t feeling my best, I decided to mix things up a bit and take a walk through the back lanes of the neighborhood instead of the streets.

There is something intriguing about laneways, almost as if you’re treading where you shouldn’t be. It can feel like discovering a secret place that’s been hiding in plain sight. I often find alley’s and what’s in them more interesting than the front yards and facades of houses and buildings.
