An XPan(sive) Aspect

I posted last August about experimenting with the a panoramic aspect ratio that the Hasselblad Xpan (& Fujifilm TX-1) film cameras produced. It’s a format that I’ve used often since then when editing my photos. I find that sometimes I shoot with the format in mind as well even though I don’t have a camera that can provide an in-camera crop to that aspect ratio. When I’m not thinking explicitly about the format I’ll often find a cinematic quality in many of my photos when reviewing and editing. Here are 50 photos from the first 3 months of 2023 with this wide presentation.

Various cameras. Leica M10, Ricoh GR3, Ricoh GR3x, Fujifilm XT-2
