Wide But Not Far

In 2008 when I got my Leica M8 I wanted a 28mm equivalent lens. On the M8s 1.33 crop sensor that required a 21mm lens so I picked up a used Voigtlander 21mm Color Skopar f4 lens. I still have the tiny little Skopar but it doesn’t get much love. I took it out this morning for a walk around the neighborhood mounted on the full frame Leica M10. 21mm is a good focal length for expansive shots like landscapes and architecture as well as crowded spaces. The Skopar is prone to lens flare but I don’t mind a little serendipity in my shots!
