Iona Jetty Monochromes

Last July I took a few photos of the Iona Jetty in the distance from the Marine Drive viewpoint. In the 1990s the land around the jetty was turned into a regional park. I had never visited the park so this morning I decided to check it out. The park and the jetty are quite incredible. Hidden away behind YVR airport and surrounding industrial land are 20 km of shoreline, walking and cycling trails, dunes, grassland and marshes. I quickly checked out the beach and decided to spend my time walking the trail along the jetty. I made it about 2.5 of the 4 km length before turning around. Next time I’ll pack some water and a snack and walk the distance!
